Setting Up Shipping Options in Your Control Panel

Read how you can customize the shipping methods in your control panel.

Shipping setup

To set up shipping methods, go to Configuration > Shipping Methods in your control panel. 

Here you can manage all the settings of your different shipping methods.

• Shipping Options -  Here are all the shipping options installed.
• Flat shipping – Here, you can choose to set up general flat shipping on the various options
• Free shipping – Here you can choose to set up general free shipping on the various options
• Add Shipping Option – Here you can add more options

Fast shipping

In the following example, we have set up that the Fixed shipping rate should apply to the shipping options "In the mailbox" and "Picked up at Posten".

Do you want to have a fixed shipping price to kr. 99,-, you must enter 79.2 in the field "Fixed shipping amount". This price must then always be entered excluding VAT. At checkout in the online store, the fixed shipping price will be displayed incl. VAT, i.e. kr. 99,-
Remember to use periods between decimal places and not commas.

This "Fast shipping" box on the right will override any fixed shipping rates that you have set on specific shipping options.

Fast shipping on specific shipping options

Most shipping options also have a separate field under "Advanced options" that allows you to set fixed shipping on only that one shipping method.

1. Tap on the desired shipping option
2. Tap advanced options to the right of the title
3. Set a fixed price, this price should be excluding VAT.
   

Free shipping

In the example below, we have set up that free shipping should apply to orders over kr. 1000 for the shipping methods "In the mailbox" and "Picked up at Posten".

You can also enter the maximum weight that should give Free shipping, in this example 35000g or 35kg.

This "Free shipping" box on the right will override any free shipping rates that you have set on specific shipping options.

Free shipping on specific shipping options

Most shipping options also have a separate field under "Advanced options" that allows you to set free shipping over a certain amount on just that one shipping method.

1. Tap on the desired shipping option
2. Tap advanced options to the right of the title
3. Set a price below free shipping, anyone who shops above this amount gets free shipping.

It is important to be aware that "Weight per item" and "Maximum weight for free shipping" cannot be the same in order to avoid that an order of, for example, 36kg will not be able to provide free shipping.

Then all orders that are more than 35 kg will be split into several pieces, and thus this order is considered as two bags of less than 35 kg that must have free shipping.

You can change this under Configuration > General > Sending/Packaging.
When this value is the same as the maximum limit for free shipping, it will be the same as not having a maximum limit on free shipping.

If you increase the value of the image above, this will not be a challenge for free shipping.

Add shipping option

1. Press "Add shipping option"
   
2. You will then get the following under the "Add shipping option" button.
   Here you can choose between Bring or PostNord's shipping methods, as well as manual shipping methods.
   

Changes to shipping option

To make changes you can tap on one of your shipping options and the box will be enlarged, then tap on "Advanced options".

Here you get choices like title and description shown to your customers and different prices you can add.

Advanced options give you the option to change multiple parameters on the shipping option, these choices vary per shipping option.
