Commercial invoice is normally used in all trade with foreign countries and forms the basis for the Customs Service's determination of customs duties and taxes. The invoice must provide a full overview of what the consignment contains, as well as the terms agreed between buyer and seller. This has an impact on the customs value of the goods and the correct calculation of customs duties and taxes.
