Facebook Conversion API Gateway (CAPIG)

FB CAPI sends event and user data to Facebook from this server. That way, Facebook can still collect user information when browser tracking is blocked.

FB CAPIG (Facebook Conversion API Gateway) is Facebook's solution for setting up the Conversion API and is also the easiest. 

In this article, it is explained how to set up FB CAPIG using stape.io hosting. Once you've created the Facebook CAPIG container at Stape.io, they create an Amazon AWS cloud solution based on Facebook's requirements. They will handle all updates for you.

Follow the instructions to set up FB CAPIG

1. Create an account with https://app.stape.io/auth/sign-up
Select "Globally" under the email address field.

Important: Add a payment method to Stape.io within 24 hours in the "Billing" menu.
Unfortunately, they will disable your setup unless payment cards are added within 24 hours.

2. Go to your stape.io account and to the menu item "FB CAPI Getaway" and select "Create CAPIG"

3. Enter a name and the email address you want to use to manage the Conversions API.
and select the server location Europe.

4. Then select payment plan "Pay as you go" and "Start 7-day trial"


5. Click on "Finish CAPIG setup"


6. Use your email address that you created for your Stape account and set a password.
Stape does not store passwords to the Conversions API Gateway; So, it is important that you store the password in a secure place. Click on "Create account".

7. You will then have access to the Conversions API Gateway environment. To connect to your Meta pixel, click "Add data source".
(If you get an error message "Oops something went wrond", please refresh your browser and you will see the correct setup)

8. Go through the wizard and select your Meta-pixel.

We recommend enabling Automatic Advanced Matching. It will help increase the quality of your campaigns.

Once you complete the wizard, you will see the Meta Pixel in the Conversions API Gateway interface.

9. Then log in to your domain provider, set up a CNAME for the address you have received from Stape.

You can also send this information to your domain provider.
