How to transfer your product catalog to Facebook and Instagram

About Facebook Feed & Instagram Shopping

To get your products onto Facebook and Instagram Shopping, you need a product feed from Mystore. This product feed allows you to get your products on Facebook and Instagram.

Facebook feed setup

Once you've received your product feed, you can now start setting up Facebook and Instagram shopping. This product feed should be entered in the wizard below.
Before you begin, make sure you're inside Facebook Business Manager and not in Facebook Business Suite. To easily switch to Facebook Business Manager, tap "Help" at the bottom of the Facebook Business Suite menu:

To get the feed linked, do the following::

1. Go to the menu item in the upper left corner and tap on "Commerce Manager" and select "Add catalogue"

2. Then select "E-commerce" and press "Next"

3. Tap "Upload Product Data" and "Create"


4. The directory is now created. Then select "View catalogue".


5. You will then come to this window. Here, select "Add items".


6. Then select "Data feed" and press "Next"


7. At this step, select "Yes" and then press "Next"

8. On this page you should select "Use a URL" and then enter your URL that you have received from Mystore. In the field, enter the full URL that you have received from Mystore.
NB: No username and password should be entered.
Then press "Next".

9. On this page, select "Daily" update (around 06:00 AM) and press "Next".

10. In the "Default currency" field, select "NOK - Norwegian Kroner" and press "Save feed and upload"

11. Product catalog will now be uploaded to Facebook Business Manager and automatically updated once a day.

Rejected products in Facebook feed


Products that Facebook believes don't comply with its policies will appear as disapproved in your product catalog.
It happens that Facebook's automated rejection of products by mistake.
If you believe products were rejected by mistake, you can request an additional review.
You can submit up to 5000 review requests per week.
There are two ways to request a review: from your catalogue or in Account Quality.


Ask Facebook for a review from your catalogue

You can submit a review request for one disapproved item at a time in your catalogue. To request a review:

  1. Go to www.facebook.com/products and select a catalogue.
  2. Open the Catalogue tab and go to Items.
  3. Filter your products by issues and then by policy violations on the left. Products rejected for policy violations are displayed on the right.
  4. Find a disapproved product and select View issues.
  5. Make sure you're on the Channels tab, on the product details page. On the left, select an advertising or sales channel that you want to use the product for. Channels where the product is rejected are shown in red.
  6. If you believe that the product was inadvertently rejected, select Request Review. Write feedback if you want, and select Submit.

The product will now appear as "For Review." Review usually takes a few days, but can sometimes take longer. You can return to the product details page at any time to see the status of your review. If the review is approved, the product will be ready for use. If the review is not approved, the product will remain rejected. You can't submit a new review request for the same product.

Ask Facebook for a review in Account Quality

In Account Quality, you can request a review for up to five disapproved products at once.
To request a review:

  1. Go to Account quality.
  2. Select your Business Manager account.
  3. Under Commerce accounts and catalogs, select the catalog with the disapproved products.
  4. The rejected products are displayed. Check for up to five products that you believe have been incorrectly rejected.
  5. Select Request review. Write feedback if you want, and select Submit.

The products now appear on the For review tab. Review usually takes a few days, but can sometimes take longer. You can return to Account Quality at any time to see the status of your review. If the review is approved, the products will appear on the Reverse tab and become ready to use. If the review isn't approved, the products will appear on the Unchanged tab and remain rejected. You can't submit a new review request for the same products.
