Tips for setting up shipping methods

Here we go through the most common questions we get around setting up shipping methods in the control panel.

Shipping setup

Here you can manage all the settings of your different shipping methods. 

You can access your manual shipping methods by going to General > Shipping Methods in your control panel.

Fast shipping is an easy solution if you want to limit the number of shipping methods at checkout. Fast shipping works well if the products you ship are about the same size and weight. Fixed shipping gives the customer a simple choice in the checkout, where you then send the package with the cheapest option. 

Remember that the shipping price on fixed shipping is entered ex.VAT, 79.20 ex.VAT = 99kr shipping price

Shipping rate based on zip code and weight

If you have a physical store, you can choose to let customers complete the purchase in the online store, and then pick up the item in your store. This is easily fixed by installing the shipping method Pick up at store #2.

This shipping method can be limited to selected zip codes. Let's say your store has ZIP code 9010, and you don't want to show the shipping method to customers outside your area. Then you can set up the shipping method as shown in the picture below. 

You also have the option of installing shipping methods that automatically calculate prices based on Postnord or Bring's price tables.

If you want to ship with Bring's shipping methods, this is also of course possible. Below we go through Bring's most common shipping methods. An integration with Logistra will ensure that you can easily choose the different shipping methods in order processing.

Bring their product for pick up in store. The package is delivered to the customer's nearest delivery point, store or Bring pick-up-point. You can choose to have the shipping rate calculated automatically or add a flat shipping rate to this option. 

Bring their product for delivery directly in the customer's mailbox.
